LawMatic Word

LawMatic Word is a macOS text editor built for lawyers, attorneys, notaries, and anyone who works with legal documents. It opens and saves standard Word files (.docx) and offers a familiar ribbon interface with pages, rulers, and formatting — so you can work without constantly switching to Microsoft Word.

The core idea is simple: this is not just “another editor,” but a workspace where text, artificial intelligence, and tools for protecting personal data come together in one window.

Document editing like Word

Open existing .docx files, edit text, and save back to Word format. You get fonts and sizes, bold and italic, underline and strikethrough, text and highlight colors, lists, paragraphs, indents, tables, images, headers and footers, page-by-page view, and zoom. The document looks like a sheet of paper — convenient for printing or sending.

When opening complex files, the app keeps a backup copy and warns you if the document contains elements that cannot yet be edited safely. This helps you avoid losing the original when working with heavy templates.

Artificial intelligence — right in the document

The built-in AI chat understands context: select a passage and ask a question or ask it to rewrite the text. The AI sees not only the selection but the whole document — useful when a wording needs to match the rest of the text.

Legal work often involves personal data. LawMatic Word helps you prepare text safely for AI consultations, sharing with colleagues, or external services.

If personal data is found in a selected passage, the app alerts you — less risk of sending something you should not.

Connection to Legalic CRM

If your practice uses Legalic.ru, the editor ribbon lets you specify which client and case you are working on. This links the document to your practice context and makes it easier to track materials for a specific matter.

Platform and formats

LawMatic Word is a macOS application. The primary format is Microsoft Word (.docx). RTF and plain text are also supported.

Where the product is heading

In development: storing the replacement table inside the .docx itself, a shared “knowledge base” for regular clients and counterparties, a templates panel, a file browser for the case folder, extended handling of AI changes, and integration with statutory and case-law databases. The goal is for lawyers to spend less time on routine tasks and more on the substance of the case.
